The Charmed reboot premiered in October, 2018 and stars Melonie Diaz, Madeleine Mantock, Sarah Jeffery, Rupert Evans, Ser’Darius Blain and Nick Hargrove in the lead roles. Although The CW received a lot of backlash from fans of the original when it announced the project, the series ended up becoming one of network’s most popular programs, averaging 1.8 million viewers per episode.
The CW originally ordered 13 episodes for season one, but ended up ordering nine more episodes after the series satisfied ratings goals. Back in late January, the network decided to renew Charmed for season two although the episode count and premiere date remain unknown.

]]>In addition to the Arrowverse shows, Riverdale, Charmed, Dynasty, and Legacies will also get an additional season, while Supernatural will be returning for its 15th season.
The news about the renewals for these 10 shows was delivered by The CW’s President Mark Pedowitz during the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour.
“This season, we expanded our primetime schedule to six nights with the addition of Sunday — which has been an unqualified success for the network, our affiliates and our advertisers. In addition to growing our schedule across the week, we also continue to add more year-round programming. The early renewal of these signature CW series gives us a head start on laying out the 2019-2020 season, and this is just the beginning,” said Pedowitz.
“These shows provide a strong foundation for our multi-platform programming strategy, and we look forward to building on this with even more returning and new shows as we approach the May upfront.”
Further details regarding the renewals, including the episode count and possible series’ endings, will be revealed in May. This is when the network will also determine the fate of The 100, Roswell, New Mexico, All American and In the Dark. We previously learned that Jane the Virgin, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and iZombie are heading into their final season.

]]>One actress we were expecting to see return was Shannen Doherty, who played Prue in the original series. She had recently defended the reboot.
“I think it’s great,” she said. “I think it’s awesome. I think second lives are amazing, so I’m all for it… I’m happy to see that a show, that back then was all about strong women who supported and loved each other, is now coming back again in this day and age.”
Unfortunately, she has revealed that she will not be showing up in the reboot any time soon. She told Entertainment Weekly that her reason for deciding against an appearance is because she has already agreed to appear in the reboot of Heathers (1989).
“It’s funny, because somebody said to me, ‘Oh, would you do the Charmed reboot?’ And I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t be the reboot queen!'” she explained.
Her co-stars have been less supportive of the reboot. Holly Mary Combs has been particularly vocal about her feelings towards the show.
“Let me say first that I appreciate the jobs and opportunities the Charmed reboot has created,” she wrote in a statement. “But I will never understand what is fierce, funny, or feminist in creating a show that basically says the original actresses are too old to do a job they did 12 years ago. I hope the new show is far better than the marketing so the true legacy does remain.”
The Charmed reboot will air October 14th on the CW.

]]>Sex and the City
Ok, it might have gone on a bit too long, but Sex and the City is worth a re-watch – even if it’s just for the clothes.
Twin Peaks
David Lynch’s surreal mystery drama is still considered one of the greatest TV shows today.
Charmed
Ok, so some of it is pretty cheesy, but that’s also what makes it so great. Watching the super badass Charmed sisters fight demons while trying to maintain a social life stays at least a little bit entertaining all the way up to season 9.
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
We’re still singing along to the words of the theme song when it comes on at clubs, so we might as well just re-watch the entire series.
Will and Grace
This award winning comedy series is guaranteed to still get a laugh out of you today.
Beverly Hills, 90210
It’s one of the most definitive shows of the 90’s and the nostalgia makes it worth enduring.
The X-Files
The show is still great, but the ‘advanced’ technology the agents used to solve crimes adds a comical touch to the show in hindsight.
Seinfeld
Arguably still one of the best sitcoms to date.
Friends
It’s on Netflix and most of us have already found ourselves starting over from season one already. Friends is timeless.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
The cult classic was forward-thinking at the time and still remains eerily relevant today. It’s also surprisingly relatable considering most of the show revolves around vampires and slaying.
