]]>Season 2 has been pretty rocky for the duo’s friendship, and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) decided to give up her childhood crush after overhearing Colin (Luke Newton) say mean things about her to his friends.
She’ll kick off Season 3 by trying to find a husband who will respect her independence so she can keep on living her double life as Lady Whistledown. Her lack of confidence makes her search quite difficult until Colin decides to help her in an attempt to repair their friendship.
In addition to Coughlan and Newton, Season 3 will also star Jonathan Bailey, Ruth Gemmell, Claudia Jessie, Golda Rosheuvel, Luke Thompson, and Simone Ashley in supporting roles.
The next season of Bridgerton still doesn’t have an official release date, but the wait didn’t feel so long because Netflix gave us an amazing spinoff in the meantime. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story premiered last month and captivated the audience with the tale of Queen Charlotte’s rise to power and the rocky start to her marriage with King George.

]]>Season 2 of Bridgerton will shift focus to Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), as he tries to find a suitable wife. The teaser trailer confirms he’ll be stuck between two women—the newcomer Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran) and her outspoken sister Kate (Simone Ashley).
Lady Whistledown will be keeping a close eye on Anthony and the rest of her peers, as promised in an intriguing voiceover by Julie Andrews: “Dearest gentle reader, did you miss me? As the members of my town questioned my identity and means, this author has been doing but one thing: honing my skills. No, even better, I’ve been sharpening my knives … for all of you.”
Season 2 of Bridgerton is set to premiere on March 25th, and the series has already been renewed for additional two seasons. In addition to Bailey, Nicola Coughlan, Adjoa Andoh, Luke Newton, Claudia Jessie, Ruth Gemmell, Luke Thompson, and Phoebe Dynevor are expected to return in Season 2.

At the heart of the show is the powerful Bridgerton family — comprised of eight close-knit siblings. This funny, witty, daring, and clever group must navigate the upper ten thousand’s marriage mart in search of romance, adventure, and love.
Joining Julie Andrews who is set to voice the character of Lady Whistledown are Phoebe Dynevor (Younger) and Regé-Jean Page (For The People) will star as leads alongside Jonathan Bailey ( Broadchurch), Golda Rosheuvel (Silent Witness), Luke Newton (The Lodge), Claudia Jessie (Doctor Who), Nicola Coughlan (Derry Girls), Ruby Barker (Doctors), Sabrina Bartlett (Knightfall), Ruth Gemmell (Deep State), Adjoa Andoh (Thunderbirds Are A Go), and Polly Walker (Pennyworth).
