The tenth season of American Horror Story will see the return of Rubber Man. 

Creator Ryan Murphy took to Instagram Sunday posting a picture of the iconic character who appeared in the horror franchise’s first installment, Murder House.

The image of Rubber Man was caption with a simple, “Coming soon.” 

The Rubber Man was first used by Evan Peters’ Tate Langdon who wore it to disguise himself and seduce Vivien, played by Connie Britton. It then returned for AHS: Apocalypse.

Evan Peters, AHS veteran, is returning to the forthcoming installment AHS: 1984 after sitting the last installment out. He’ll be joined by newcomer Macaulay Culkin, as well as series stars Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross and Finn Wittrock.

After numerous teasers — the first full trailer for American Horror Story: 1984 is finally here. 

Series co-creator Ryan Murphy dropped the trailer via Instagram on Monday. 

The ninth installment in the acclaimed horror franchise is an ode to ‘80s slasher movies and is set at the fictional Camp Redwood.

Franchise stars Billie Lourd, Emma Roberts, Cody Fern, and Gus Kenworthy all get jobs as counselors at the camp. 

All that summery fun ends when an escaped mental patient named Mr. Jingles targets the camp, which also happens to be “the site of the worst summer massacre of all time.”

Also starring is newcomer Matthew Morrison, Leslie Grossman, Gus Kenworthy, Angelica Ross, DeRon Horton, Zach Villa and John Carroll Lynch. 

Sarah Paulson, who  appeared in every episode of AHS since the beginning, and Evan Peters will be sitting the season out.

AHS: 1984 premieres September 18th.

Another teaser trailer for American Horror Story: 1984 is finally here. 

Weeks after the characters from the ninth installment of the acclaimed horror franchise were revealed in a promo video, FX Networks has released more footage from the upcoming season. 

The clip that was dropped Monday finally reveals the backdrop for AHS: 1984 and its villains. 

The backdrop of the forthcoming installment is Camp Redwood. The footage follows a group of campers excitedly driving to the camp, unaware that the opposite side of the camp’s signs reads “Beware.” The clip, in true ‘80s slasher movie fashion, also features the masked killer, first hiding under the tailpipes and then springing up from the lake on an unsuspecting camper in a canoe.

In true AHS fashion, the teaser doesn’t show series stars like Emma Roberts Matthew Morrison, Billie Lourd, Cody Fern, Leslie Grossman, Angelica Ross, and Gus Kenworthy (who you can see in the previously released promo). 

American Horror Story: 1984 premieres September 18 on FX.

The wait for the next installment of the American Horror Story franchise will be over this September. 

FX has announced that the ninth installment, titled AHS: 1984, will premiere on September 18th. The confirmation of the anthology’s return follows the latest (but definitely not recent) news of the series title confirmed by creator Ryan Murphy back in April.

Back then he also dropped a short teaser with a vintage ’80s horror/slasher vibe.

Except these bits of information, production hasn’t released nor confirmed any other details. Executive producer Tim Minear did say, however, that the upcoming installment is a treat for fans of ‘80s horror. 

“I will tell you nothing, except that I think it’s awesome,” he said. “I think it’s gonna be really scary but a lot of fun, like it always is. And that if you have a taste for ’80s horror, you’re in for a treat.”

Alum Emma Roberts will return for AHS: 1984.

Say hello to American Horror Story: 1984.

The next installment in Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology is going back in time and will pay homage to the ’80s slasher movies. 1984 was the year some major horror classics hit the big screen, including A Nightmare on Elm Street, Children of the Corn and Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.

Murphy confirmed season 9’s title on Instagram Wednesday. The name reveal came with a short video that invoked horror films from the time period, showing a teenage girl fleeing a knife-wielding man.

Confirmed to return to the forthcoming season are Emma Roberts and Olympian Gus Kenworthy. According to Entertainment Weekly, they will play a couple. Evan Peters recently announced that he won’t be back for season 9.

American Horror Story returns in the this fall.
