Disney+ has given us one of their most popular shows in recent memory with Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and there’s more where that came from! Percy and the gang will return for another epic adventure after the streaming giant renewed this hit fantasy series for its second season.

Based on Rick Riordan’s hit book series of the same name, Percy Jackson and the Olympians chronicles the journey of the titular demigod, journeying across America with his best friends Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood in an attempt to restore order to Olympus.

Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri star as Percy, Annabeth, and Grover, while the supporting cast includes the likes of Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Jason Mantzoukas, Megan Mullally, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jay Duplass, and Lance Reddick.

Rick Riordan, who co-created this series for Disney+ alongside Jonathan E. Steinberg, is excited for the fans to see what the next chapter of this story has in store.

“I can’t wait to bring the next season of Percy Jackson to Disney+! Raise anchors. Hoist the mainsail. All hands on deck, demigods. We’re heading for the Sea of Monsters!” said Riordan in a statement.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians premiered on Disney+ on December 19, 2023, to positive reviews and attracted 26.2 million viewers across the three-week span.
