Lionsgate recently shared a pair of new trailers – green and red band – for their highly anticipated Hellboy reboot. Unlike the first trailer, these one give much more insight into the story of the movie and the tone we can expect.
The trailers show that the movie will feature a brief origin story about Hellboy/Anung Un Rama (played by David Harbour) while also promising non-stop action and exciting visuals. “Red Band” trailer is especially telling, since it reveals that the reboot will have lots of blood and gore.

The studio also revealed a first official synopsis for the movie:
“Hellboy is called to the English countryside to battle a trio of rampaging giants. There he discovers The Blood Queen, Nimue, a resurrected ancient sorceress thirsting to avenge a past betrayal. Suddenly caught in a clash between the supernatural and the human, Hellboy is now hell-bent on stopping Nimue without triggering the end of the world.”
Hellboy is scheduled for release on April 12, 2019.
