Check Out This Week’s Movie Trailers

This week brought with it several first looks at forthcoming movies.

The first preview is a look at Sarah Paulson and Kiera Allen who star in Run. The film hails from director Aneesh Chaganty and is set to bow this May.

Per the official synopsis for the horror/thriller feature: They say you can never escape a mother’s love… but for Chloe (Allen), that’s not a comfort — it’s a threat. There’s something unnatural, even sinister about the relationship between Chloe and her mom, Diane (Paulson). Diane has raised her daughter in total isolation, controlling every move she’s made since birth, and there are secrets that Chloe’s only beginning to grasp. From the visionary writers, producers, and director of the breakout film Searching, comes a suspense thriller that shows that when mom gets a little too close, you need to RUN.

Watch the official trailer for The Postcard Killings starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The film based on the best-selling novel by Liza Marklund and James Patterson was directed by Danis Tanovic from a screenplay co-penned by Marklun and Andrew Stern.

Here’s the official synopsis: NY Detective Jacob Kanon’s (Morgan) world is destroyed when his daughter and son-in-law are brutally murdered in London. Unable to sit idly by and do nothing, Jacob travels to London to get the answers he needs. As he learns of similar heinous murders happening across Europe – each preceded by a postcard sent to a local journalist – Jacob is in a race against time to stop the killings and find justice for his little girl.

Watch Toni Collette and Damian Lewis in Dream Horse from director Euros Lyn.

In the film, Jan Vokes, a Welsh cleaner and bartender, decides to breed and rear a racehorse. She persuades her neighbors and friends to contribute financially to the goal. The group’s unlikely investment plan pays off as the horse rises through the ranks and puts them in the running for a national championship.

The film also stars Owen Teale, Joanna Page, Karl Johnson, Steffan Rhodri and Anthony O’Donnell.
