The post 3 Things You Should Know About Netflix’s “Wednesday” Ahead of Its Premiere appeared first on Entertainment For Us.
]]>Tim Burton co-created Wednesday alongside Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who serve as showrunners. Jenna Ortega plays the titular role, while the rest of the cast includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, and Isaac Ordonez as Morticia, Gomez, and Pugsley Addams. The new trailer features appearances from Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, Gwendoline Christie as principal Larissa Weems, and Christina Ricci as the original character Marilyn Thornhill.
Nevermore Academy serves as the setting for this spooky series, set to chronicle Wednesday’s high school years. As expected, she’s not dealing with your usual teenage problems since she’s too busy trying to master her psychic ability, solve a killing spree in a local town, and get to the bottom of a 25-years-old murder mystery involving her parents.
We were hoping Wednesday is coming our way just in time for Halloween, but we’ll have to wait until November 23 for its premiere. The first season will feature eight episodes, and we’re yet to see if Netflix will renew it for additional seasons.

]]>In an excerpt from EW editor James Hibberd’s Fire Cannot Kill a Dragon: Game of Thrones and the Official Untold Story of the Epic Series, which is set to be released on October 6, the cast and crew revealed some behind the scenes secrets including how the plot was an epic fail.
They spoke about how everything from the actors’ hairstyle to the actor and major scenes had to be reconsidered.
Some of the biggest changes mentioned included Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Khal Drogo’s (Jason Momoa) wedding scene with Tamzin Merchant originally playing the role of Daenerys and that Daenerys jumped a fire on a horse. The couple also consummated the marriage by a brook in the original take.
Perhaps the biggest change was that Rickon Stark was almost not part of the series, “The biggest thing was Dan and David called me up and had the idea of eliminating Rickon, the youngest of the Stark children, because he didn’t do much in the first book. I said I had important plans for him, so they kept him,” George R.R. Martin revealed.
In the end, the show got the green light from HBO and the pilot had to be reshot, even though a lot of money and time was lost during filming.

]]>Lorene Scafaria revealed Sunday night on the Golden Globes red carpet that she’s already working on a stage adaptation for her hit crime drama.
The film starred Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Cardi B, Lizzo, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart as a tight-knit clan of strip club employees who scam money from their rich Wall Street clients amid the 2008 financial crisis.
“We’re just starting,” Scafaria told Variety. “I said it to them a few months ago that I thought it would be a good idea, that’s all. Who knows. I’m trying to develop it for the stage!”
Back in December Lopez told Extra, “It really lends itself to a Broadway show, and to a live-performance show. I don’t know that I would do it. I would produce it, for sure. I don’t know. Maybe. You never know with me.”
Hustlers earned more than $157 million in global ticket sales.

]]>“It’s a beautiful Gotham. What I would like to see someone tackle is what Batman looks like from that Gotham,” Phillips told Variety.
This project is not to be confused with the previously reported sequel (that could or could not be happening), and in any case, Phillips added that it definitely won’t be the one to make that movie.
“I’m not saying I’m going to do that. What was interesting to me about the inclusion of Batman in our movie was, ‘What kind of Batman does that Gotham make?’ That’s all I meant by that,” he said.
Last year’s Joker was the fourth of Warner Bros.’ DC Comics films to hit the $1 billion mark.

]]>The Oscar-winning actress couldn’t be more pleased with her role in the Martin Scorsese directed mob film.
Despite the social media uproar, Paquin loved her role even though she only said seven words.
The veteran actress who played Robert De Niro’s daughter in the Netflix drama said, “It’s very endearing when people think they are fighting a fight on your behalf, but not really necessary. I’m incredibly happy. I have such a tiny little role in the film, and I was so excited to get to be a part of it in the first place, and all of this [awards recognition] is just the icing on the cake.”
It basically all came down to seizing the opportunity to work with the acclaimed filmmaker.
“I just can’t picture any actor on the planet going, ‘Yeah, I don’t want to work with Martin Scorsese and every single living legend in our field.'”

]]>The 200th episode of the iconic sitcom titled “The One With the Male Nanny” starred Prinze as the titular character. But now we learn that the sensitive “manny” who Ross (David Schwimmer) doesn’t approve of was supposed to be portrayed by none other than Tom Hanks.
“I wasn’t even supposed to be [Sandy], that was originally offered to Tom Hanks but he wasn’t gonna make it back from his film on time,” Prinze told Entertainment Weekly. “And so my agent called me and said, ‘Do you want to be on Friends? And I said, ‘Yeah, I’ll do an episode of Friends. That’ll be great.’ He said, ‘Yeah, it shoots tomorrow.’ and I was like, ‘What?’ He said, ‘Yes, tomorrow so I’ll send you the script.’”
It all worked out perfectly and despite not approving of his character on screen, Schwimmer and Prize got on very well off screen.
“David Schwimmer walked into my dressing room and he was so cool and so passionate and he had so much energy. He came into the room and was like, ‘You’re going to love this, man. It’s like a little two-act play and the crowd is so engaged, and so into it. You’ll have a ton of fun, don’t worry about a thing.’”
Warner Bros. and reps for Hanks had not comment.

During an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the original film’s star said that she’s on board to bring back the cheerleading classic from 2000, original cast and all.
Dunst, who is currently promoting the Showtime series On Becoming a God in Central Florida, told the host, “If they wanted to make another movie, I would make another movie. Why not? It would be so fun.”
The film was followed by multiple sequels but none ever succeeded like the original which also starred Gabrielle Union, Eliza Dushku, and Jesse Bradford.
“We made that movie for no money, zero money,” Dunst told Clarkson. “It was a Universal movie but one of those that they were just like, ‘Go do what you want, this little whatever cheerleading movie.’ And then opening weekend… we were all so surprised.”
All there is to add is — ready? OK!

]]>The legendary exorcism movie was adapted on a novel of the same name. The novel is based on the story of a 13-year-old boy who experienced what appeared to be possession in 1949.
The film that made us all terrified of sharks is based on the deaths of five shark victims in New Jersey in 1916.
The horrifying story of a home haunting is based on the true story of Ronald J. DeFeo Jr, who murdered his parents and four siblings.
The movie tells the bombastic story of a clan of cannibals living in the desert. The absurd story, however, is based on a cannibal clan led by Sawney Bean, who killed 1,000 people in the 16th century.
Fortunately, there is no “real life” Freddy Krueger, but the concept of the film was reportedly based on reports of Asian men in the ’70s and ’80s who died in their sleep.
Psycho is adapted from a novel which tells the story of the real-life murderer, Ed Gein, who was fixated on his mother.
The events of the film never took place, but Leatherface was inspired by a killer named Ed Gein who wore human skin. Gross.
