Just hours after the season one finale of The Mandalorian dropped on Disney+, creator and showrunner Jon Favreau confirmed that another season is officially coming.

That’s right! Favreau took to Twitter to make the announcement. Season two of The Mandalorian is set to debut in the fall of 2020.

The series is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order, following the travails of Mando in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

The also teased possible directions for a sophomore season of the forthcoming series. Favreau’s tweet featured a figurine of a Gamorrean, a species which guarded Jabba the Hut in earlier Star Wars films. What do you think this could mean?
