The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star took to social media sharing an image of himself photoshopped onto King Triton’s fish tail while also holding a trident and floating in front of the kingdom of Atlantica. Crews captioned the image with “Ariel’s Dad!!!!” as well as two hashtags to help promote his casting in the film — #ArielsGotTerry and #AmericasGotTerry.
Following the announcement that Halle Bailey was recently cast as Ariel rumblings about who would play her on-screen dad began. While many fans have been pushing for Idris Elba to get the part, with the amount of like Crews’ image garnered on Instagram and Twitter (over half a million on total!) looks like fans are taking to the idea.
Should Crews play Ariel’s dad in Disney’s forthcoming live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, he could join Awkwafina, Jason Tremblay and Melissa McCarthy, who are all in talks to join the film’s cast as Scuttle, Flounder, and Ursula, respectively.

]]>Original star Terry Crews dropped the news during an appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live. Responding to a caller’s question, he confirmed that talks of a sequel are underway.
“I actually got with Shawn [Wayans] and he was like, ‘Man, we’re doing it, we’re getting it going,’” Crews said, to enthusiastic applause.
The first film followed Shawn and Marlon Wayans as two FBI agents who go undercover as white women in order to solve a string of kidnappings. Keenen Ivory Wayans directed from a script he co-wrote with his siblings and Xavier Cook, Andy McElfresh, and Michael Anthony Snowden.
Crews, who portrayed a basketball player unknowingly in love with a black man in disguise as a white woman, added: “I’ve been working out for 15 years so I can do White Chicks 2, y’all! Please, please.”
White Chicks grossed $113 million at the global box office.

]]>“You know what? Actually, if you look at the movie, I was on life support,” said the 50-year-old actor in a recent interview. “They were trying to revive me, so you didn’t see me get cut up or head cut off. There’s always something. I would love to come back for Deadpool 3.”
Terry Crews went on to admit that the plan all along in Deadpool 2 was to kill off the most of X-Force members.
“It was a troll from the beginning, and it was horrible,” he added. “I felt so bad, but it was for a good cause, you know what I mean? It really was the payoff that the movie needed.”
While Bedlam might or might not be alive, Shatterstar (Lewis Tan), Zeitgeist (Bill Skarsgard), and Vanisher (Brad Pitt) are 100 percent dead, being electrocuted or cut in half in the movie. Still, there is hope for them, since we learn at the end of Deadpool 2 that Deadpool has the ability to travel back in time. Also, Deadpool 3 is reportedly more focused on the X-Force team, so anything is possible.
