]]>Kate Kane’s whereabouts were a mystery for the fans of the show since Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) took over the mental and became the new Batwoman. After a lot of anticipation, it’s finally been revealed that Kane is alive, but she looks unrecognizable after the crash that left her with serious injuries.
Day will play the altered version of the character, and she announced the exciting news in one of her recent Instagram posts. The British actress said it’s a huge responsibility to step into the shoes of a character that’s already been established, but added she’s looking forward to the journey.
Day is no stranger to the DC Universe since she previously starred in SyFy’s superhero series Krypton. She’s also known for the roles in the British shows Hollyoaks and The Royals, and she’s soon set to appear in Antoine Fuqua’s next film Infinite.

]]>The standalone superhero series is based on the DC Comics character of the same name.
The series stars Orange Is the New Black’s Ruby Rose. The character made its debut in this season’s Arrowverse crossover event titled Elseworlds.
Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence.
The cast also stars Dougray Scott as Kane’s dad, Jacob Kane, a former military colonel who commands Gotham’s private security firm and “has made it his mission to protect his city better than the Dark Knight ever could.” Rachel Skarsten stars as Alice, leader of the Wonderland Gang, Meagan Tandy as military academy graduate Sophie Moore, Camrus Johnson as Lucius Fox’s son, Luke and Nicole Kang as Kate’s step-sister, Mary Hamilton.

For Catherine, it’s a matter of the bottom line: Batwoman is bad for business.
Anweis’ other TV credits include 911, Twin Peaks: The Return, The Affair, Southland, NCIS: Los Angeles.
The Batwoman pilot will also star Dougray Scott as Kate’s father Jacob Kane, Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, Nicole Kang, and Rachel Skarsten.
The CW’s drama pilot is written by Caroline Dries and directed by Marcos Siega. Berlanti Productions produces in association with Warner Bros. Television.
