]]>The White Lotus was one of the favorites for the outstanding limited series award, and it lived up to the hype. It collected four more trophies by the end of the night—outstanding supporting actor and actress (Murray Bartlett and Jennifer Coolidge) and outstanding writing and directing for a limited series (Mike White).
It was also a big night for Succession, as this political satire picked up its second Emmy for outstanding drama series, but it wasn’t the last we’ve seen of HBO. Zendaya collected her second Emmy for Euphoria, while Jean Smart was named outstanding lead actress in a comedy series for Hacks.
As for other networks and streamers, Ted Lasso brought four wins to Apple TV+. It won the trophy for outstanding comedy series, repeating its success from last year, in addition to three more awards—lead actor (Jason Sudeikis), supporting actor (Brett Goldstein), and outstanding directing for a comedy series (MJ Delane).
The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards took place on September 12 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with Kenan Thompson hosting the ceremony.

]]>The biggest winner of the night hands down was Schitt’s Creek which went home with seven awards and became the first series to win every major comedy award including best comedy series and acting wins for Eugene Levy, Daniel Levy, Catherine O’Hara, and Annie Murphy.
Watchmen also had a great night going home with four awards and becoming the first comic-book adaptation to win in the limited series category.
Succession went home with four awards and along with Schitt’s Creek, the two shows dominated the comedy, limited series, and drama fields getting the three top outstanding series awards.
Euphoria’s star Zendaya also made history after she won lead drama actress and became the youngest-ever winner in the category, at just 24, and the second Black actor to win in the category.
