Bodygaurd star Keeley Hawes is set to star in the forthcoming British crime drama.

The two-part series hails from The Girl and Vanity Fair writer Gwyneth Hughes for ITV.

According to Variety, Hawes will star as a detective attempting to bring a group of killers to justice in the wake of a so-called honor-killing.

The drama is based on the real-life story of Banaz Mahmod, a 20-year-old Londoner murdered by her own family for falling in love with the wrong man. It will follow Detective Chief Inspector Caroline Goode’s [Hawes] search to discover the fate of missing Banaz.

“In a time where honor killings are still rife, it is critical to shine a light on such an important subject,” Hawes said. “Banaz Mahmod’s story, and DCI Goode’s subsequent investigation, is certainly one that needs to be told and I am proud to be a part of it.”

“That this story is ultimately so uplifting is down to the sheer heroism and dedication of the police officers who hunted down her killers,” added Hughes.

Honour will begin filming in September.

The four new additions are set to star opposite previously announced Kristin Scott Thomas, Lily James, and Armie Hammer in the gothic thriller.

Wheatley will direct from a script by Kingsman screenwriter Jane Goldman. Earlier versions of the script were penned by Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse.
