The post “Grey’s Anatomy” Gets Season 21 Renewal at ABC appeared first on Entertainment For Us.
]]>Renewing Grey’s Anatomy may seem like a no-brainer for ABC given its strong ratings, but it’s also a huge deal considering the creative overhaul that the hit series underwent in recent years. Meg Marinis took the reins as the new showrunner in Season 20, as the show shifted to an ensemble format after the leading lady Ellen Pompeo scaled down her presence and became a recurring player.
Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes thanked ABC for continuing this story and praised Meg Marinis for breathing a new life into this series after taking over as showrunner ahead of Season 20.
“The loyalty and love of Grey’s Anatomy fans has propelled us into a historic 21st season, and I could not be more grateful. Meg Marinis’ storytelling is a gift that continues to keep the show vibrant, compelling, and alive, and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for next season,” said Rhimes in a statement.
Season 21 is expected to consist of 18 episodes, and ABC is working on renewing the deals with the show’s cast, including Chandra Wilson, James Pickens, Jr., Kevin McKidd, Caterina Scorsone, Camilla Luddington, and Kim Raver.

]]>The post “Euphoria” Season 3 Has Been Delayed, Here’s Everything We Know appeared first on Entertainment For Us.
]]>Euphoria fans are blaming the most recent delay on its creator Sam Levinson. Production start had to be pushed because the scripts haven’t been finalized yet, but HBO claims they “remain committed to making an exceptional third season” alongside Levinson.
Since scripts are still in the work, HBO announced they’re allowing the show’s in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities in the interim. Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, and Sydney Sweeney emerged as the show’s biggest breakout stars since Euphoria first premiered while Colman Domingo scored an Oscar nomination and lined up several high-profile projects.
It remains unclear when Euphoria will start shooting again in the face of the most recent delay, but Deadline reports that filming is expected to begin within the next couple of months. Season 3 still doesn’t have an official release date, but HBO remains determined to bring it back in 2025.

]]>The final season of The Crown is coming into this year’s BAFTA TV Awards with eight nominations. Despite topping the list of nominees, this series shockingly didn’t make it to the best drama field, losing its spot to The Gold, Happy Valley, Slow Horses, and Top Boy.
That didn’t stop The Crown from dominating the acting categories with four nods for its stars Dominic West, Elizabeth Debecki, Lesley Manville, and Salim Daw. The royal drama is also in the running for four additional craft awards, including best costumes and special effects.
As for Black Mirror, its episode “Demon 79” impressed the BAFTA TV voters and scored a total of seven nods. It’s one of the contenders for the best limited drama series, while its star Anjana Vasan scored a nod for the best leading actress.
The 2024 British Academy Television Awards are coming back to the Royal Festival Hall in London on May 12. BBC One will broadcast the ceremony, and they’re yet to announce this year’s host.

]]>The post “Avatar: The Last Airbender” is Returning for Seasons 2 & 3 on Netflix appeared first on Entertainment For Us.
]]>Avatar: The Last Airbender is set in a world divided by four elements, the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. Their world was in perfect harmony until the Fire Nation seized control and wiped out the Air Nomads from the face of the Earth.
Things finally take a turn for the better when a young airbender Aang reawakens after being frozen in ice for a hundred years. He has to do whatever it takes to master the four elements and take his rightful place as the next Avatar.
Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio, and Ian Ousley lead the cast as Aang and his BFFs Katara and Sokko, alongside Daniel Dae Kim, Dallas Liu, and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee in supporting roles.
Avatar: The Last Airbender hit No. 1 on Netflix’s global TV list following its debut on February 22, with 154.4 million hours watched by 21.2 million viewers. Netflix’s three-season arc will follow the same structure as the original animated show that inspired it.

]]>Oppenheimer was the front runner for the outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture, and it lived up to the high expectations to take this trophy home. Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. also had a reason to celebrate after collecting individual awards for their respective performances.
As for The Bear, the hit FX dramedy was crowned with a trophy for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series, while its stars Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri collected awards for the best actor and actress in a comedy series.
Winners were a little bit more difficult to predict on the drama side, but Succession still managed to walk away with the coveted award for the outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series. Its stars, however, didn’t collect any individual awards after being beaten by Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us) and Elizabeth Debicki (The Crown).
The 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards took place on February 24 at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, with Netflix live-streaming the ceremony.

]]>The post Apple TV+ Series “Slow Horses” is Returning for Season 5 appeared first on Entertainment For Us.
]]>Based on Mick Herron’s Slough House books, Slow Horses follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 due to their career-ending mistakes, led by their brilliant but irascible boss, the notorious Jackson Lamb.
The Oscar-winner Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, while the supporting cast includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Samuel West, Sophie Okonedo, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan, and Jonathan Pryce.
Season 5 of Slow Horses will be based on Herron’s book Spook Street, and it will see Slow Horses trying to figure out what’s behind a series of increasingly bizarre events occurring across the city after the resident tech nerd Roddy Ho starts dating a glamorous new girlfriend.
Slow Horses became quite a phenomenon following its premiere in April 2022, especially after Apple TV+ moved between seasons at such a rapid speed. It’s quite rare to see a modern TV show get a Season 5 renewal just 18 months after its initial debut, but Slow Horses managed to get it done, and it’s expected to return for Season 4 later this year.

]]>What We Do in the Shadows was developed as a spin-off of Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s 2014 film of the same name. It embraced the same vibe and focused on modern-day vampires, while completely shifting the setting and introducing new characters.
This series took us to New York City’s Staten Island, where vampires Nandor the Relentless (Kayvan Novak), Leslie “Laszlo” Cravensworth (Matt Berry), Nadja of Antipaxos (Natasia Demetriou), and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) are relentlessly trying to live their best lives while dealing with the complexities of the modern world.
Harvey Guillén also starred as Nandor’s long-suffering human familiar Guillermo de la Cruz, while Kristen Schaal joined the series as The Guide, an envoy of the Vampiric Council who desperately seeks approval from other vampires.
What We Do in the Shadows originally premiered on FX in 2019, and it attracted a passionate fanbase in years to come. It was also embraced by the critics and received a total of 21 Emmy nominations over the years, including two for the outstanding comedy series
