]]>This highly-anticipated sequel sees Tom Hardy returning to his role from the first movie, but he now has to face a new dangerous threat. He must defeat serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), who manages to escape prison after becomes the host of the symbiote Carnage.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage was originally set to be released on October 2nd, 2020 but it was delayed on several occasions due to the pandemic shutdowns. Instead of relying on a “day-and-date” release model, made popular by Disney+ and HBO Max, Sony fully embraced the theatrical strategy and their patience eventually paid off.
“We are so grateful to Tom, [director] Andy [Serkis], [screenwriter] Kelly [Marcel], and all of the many gifted contributors who made such a unique and fun film. We are also pleased that patience and theatrical exclusivity have been rewarded with record results,” Tom Rothman, CEO of Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group, said in an official statement.

]]>The five-part series Watergate scandal is titled The White House Plumbers.
Based on public records and the book Integrity by Egil “Bud” Krogh and Matthew Krogh the story will follow how E. Howard Hunt (Harrelson) and G. Gordon Liddy (Theroux), “accidentally toppled the Presidency they were zealously trying to protect,” Deadline reported.
“We’re excited to bring together such a talented team to take on this fascinating look at the internal machinations that brought down the Nixon White House,” said Casey Bloys, HBO programming president. “We’re especially happy to welcome both Woody and Justin back to HBO and are looking forward to getting started.”
The show hails from Veep writers and executive producers Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck.

]]>Besides the original cast, Zombieland 2 will also see Ruben Fleischer returning as a director while Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese will pen the script once again.
The original Zombieland movie revolved around a virus outbreak that turned most of the humans on the planet into bloodthirsty zombies. Four strangers who managed to survive this zombie apocalypse decide to join their forces and try to reach safe heaven together.
The movie ended up receiving positive reviews from the critics and earning $102.4 million compared to its $23.6 million budget. Over time, the film gained cult status.
“This is one of those projects that fans have wanted to see happen for a long time — and no one wanted to see it happen more than Emma, Woody, Jesse and Abigail,” said Columbia Pictures president Sanford Panitch in a statement.
“These are some of the most in-demand actors, and I think they are making this movie because they love these characters. We are thrilled Ruben was willing to come back to direct the sequel, as his work on Venom has been truly amazing.”
According to the press release from the studio, Zombieland 2 will “focus on comic mayhem, taking the quartet from the White House to the American heartland as they face off against new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors.”
The movie will also see Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita, and Little Rock facing the “growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.”
