Deadline was first to report that the production company, which produces the Christina Applegate-led dark comedy Dead to Me, has teamed with the streaming giant, signing a three-year first-look TV deal. 

“We’re thrilled to continue to build upon Gloria Sanchez’s strong slate of female-driven storytelling at the highest level,” Ferrell and Elbaum said in a statement. “While celebrating that brand mission, we are excited to expand our scope to include many brilliant creators and storytellers with projects in all genres and content platforms. Both Netflix and Paramount share our vision of bringing audiences the quality that they deserve, making them dream partners in our new venture. We can’t wait to get to work.”

The company has also signed a separate multi-year feature deal with Paramount.

The longtime partners announced Saturday that they have decided to dissolve their production partnership. The separation stems from the duo’s mutual desire to focus on their individual creative efforts. 

Projects produced under their Sanchez banner include Vice, Step Brothers, Talladega Nights and the Anchorman movies.

“The last 13 years could not have been more enjoyable and satisfying for the two of us at Sanchez Productions,” Ferrell and McKay said in a joint statement. “We give massive thanks to our incredible staff and executives and all the writers, directors and actors we worked with through the years. The two of us will always work together creatively and always be friends. And we recognize we are lucky as hell to end this venture as such.”

Ferrel and McKay still have quite a lot going on under their Sanchez shingle. However, in the statement, they confirmed that they will see all existing projects to completion.

“The duo is committed to working together creatively on their extensive slate of shared projects,” they added in the statement. “They will to continue to support each other both personally and professionally as they explore new endeavors as well as their own individual projects. Moving forward, any future projects they may partner on will go through their yet to be announced new ventures.”

Ferrell and McKay met while working on Saturday Night Live in 1995.
