The post The Avengers Replace Ad with Touching Tribute to the Late Stan Lee appeared first on Entertainment For Us.
]]>Chris Evans (Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) decided that instead of advertising their upcoming movie, they would pay tribute to the man who made it all happen.
Stan Lee, the legendary creator of Marvel comics, passed away on Monday (November 12) at the age of 95.
The Avengers all signed their names on the tribute and wrote:
“We acknowledge his creative contribution, the thousands of men and women it has long employed, the millions that will continue to be entertained, and above all, his inimitable wit, grace and humility.
“Stan, we love you, we will miss you, we’re grateful to represent a small part of your amazing legacy.”

Their words ring true as thousands of other tributes flood in from grateful fans who have found their lives wonderfully enriched by Stan Lee’s creations.

]]>X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)
Lee looks rather perturbed when Jean Grey changes the direction of his hose with her telekinesis.
Iron Man (2008)
Tony Stark mistakes Lee for Hugh Hefner.
Thor (2011)
Lee attempts to move Thor’s hammer with his pickup truck. Unfortunately, he has no luck.
Avengers (2012)
In a scene which seems reminiscent of Magneto in the post-credit scene of the X-Men sequel, Lee pops up in a newsreel playing chess in the park. He is being interviewed and says: “Superheroes in New York? Give me a break.” Some sneaky meta-humour there.
The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
Spider-Man and the Lizard take their epic fight into the school library and books and shelves fly everywhere. Lee stands obliviously in the foreground, enjoying a piece of classical music which the audience enjoys with him, before the violent and chaotic crashes return.
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Rocket catches him flirting with a young woman through his spy gadget.
Deadpool (2016)
Lee appears as an emcee as a strip club. We weren’t sure if we were more shocked or amused.
X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
As all the world’s nuclear weapons are launched into space, Stan Lee stands next to Joan, his real life wife, watching.
Doctor Strange (2016)
During the fight scene between Dr Strange, Mardo and Kaecilius, Lee can be spotted on a bus in NYC reading a copy of “The Doors of Perception.” More sneaky meta-humour.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Lee made an appearance in Infinity War as Peter Parker’s cynical bus driver.

]]>10. Harley Quinn (Batman)
A villain who does whatever the hell she feels like. We loved Margot Robbie’s portrayal in Suicide Squad.
9. Ozymandis (The Watchmen)
DC has a tendency to blur the lines between black and white/good and evil. Ozymandis epitomizes this in his character.
8. Loki (Thor)
He’s been around in mythology for centuries but we love Tom Hiddleston’s punky and rightly mischievous version of Loki.
7. Thanos (Guardians of The Galaxy)
We haven’t seen much of him yet, but we can’t wait to see him attempt to destroy half the universe in Avengers: Infinity War. Big talk from a pretty big guy.
6. Venom (Spider-Man)
Everyone has a dark side, even Spider-Man.
5. Mystique (X-Men)
She alternates between sides but Mystique’s shapeshifting powers make her a powerful ally.
4. Magneto (X-Men)
Magneto is a great villain and a hero from where he’s standing.
3. Catwoman (Batman)
She’s cool, she’s sexy and she doesn’t follow the rules.
2. Hela (Thor)
We loved Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. Her costume was amazing and she effortlessly crushed Thor’s hammer.
1. The Joker (Batman)
“Whatever doesn’t kill you, simply makes you stranger…” An utter nutter who scarily sometimes makes worrying sense… in an insane kind of way.
