The third and final season of the show will air on Freeform from next week and fans are super excited to see how the season will wrap up. The Seelie Queen actress Kimberly-Sue Murray has warned fans that no one is safe and that there will be lots of “twists and turns” ahead.

“Oh my god, it’s so big,” she told Digital Spy. “The fact that it’s two and a half hours – they’re wrapping things up and shooting it was amazing. I feel like it’s so bittersweet to get to the end of the series, but the way they did it, it’s so grand.

“I think the fans are going to flip. And there are a lot of twists and turns and casualties, and it’s kind of like an episode of Game of Thrones where you’re like, ‘Who’s safe? We don’t know. Who’s safe?'”

Murray also revealed that she is hoping for another season, although she appreciates that it is out of her hands.

“We all want more of this of course because we have such a beautiful family,” she said. “Fingers crossed. But I understand that we don’t want to lead the fans on… It’s completely out of our control when it comes to politics.”

Shadowhunters will air on Monday via Freeform.

The show was canceled last year but fans were not going to let the show finish without a fight. The announcement led to a series of promotional events from fans, including extravagant gestures like flying a plane over Netflix’s LA headquarters and putting up a billboard in Times Square.

Speaking with Digital Spy, Kook has revealed how grateful he is to fans and explains why he was so gutted about the show’s cancellation.

“My part was a lot smaller in the show than it was in the audition and they were very secretive,” he explained. “Because when you audition for a part, you never really know what it’s going to be on the show.

“It was bigger in the audition, it was listed as recurring, and it turned out to be much smaller in the end. But I’m still thankful to be part of that universe. Knowing that the show wasn’t going to be picked up, I felt quite sad because the fans were going through such lengths to make the show come back, but it wasn’t possible.”

He said about the campaigns: “We were seeing all of these wonderful, heroic displays of fandom trying to fight for the show. I was quite touched seeing that, even though my part was quite small.”
