]]>News that the series, which is the channel’s most highly rated and longest-running original series, is renewed was announced by series star Erin Krakow herself during the season seven finale.
“From my heart and home to yours, I am thrilled to announce the all new Season 8 of When Calls the Heart, coming next year,” Krakow said in the announcement. “We can’t wait to see you back in Hope Valley.”
Krakow said to ET Online that season eight will continue to deepen relationships and storylines.
“I’m so glad that the show continues to resonate for so many people — even in its seventh season. It’s amazing and it’s a real gift to all of us that we get to continue to work on a show with such longevity.”

]]>The acclaimed espionage thriller is set to return early next year for its first episodes since 2018.
The season seven finale saw Claire Danes’ Carrie Mathison released after having endured seven months of confinement in a Russian gulag. That confinement also meant living for months off her meds.
The 50 seconds clip sees Carrie admit that she lost months of her life, only to return with a broken memory.
Per Showtime’s official description, in the eighth and final season of the show, “Kabul teams with warlords and mercenaries, zealots and spies — and Saul needs the relationships and expertise that only his protégé can provide. Against medical advice, Saul asks Carrie to walk with him into the lion’s den — one last time.”
Also starring is Mandy Patinkin as National Security Advisor Saul Berenson, Beau Bridges, Maury Sterling, Linus Roache, Costa Ronin, Nimrat Kaur, and Numan Acar round out the cast.

]]>For a second week in a row, episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones were leaked and available to watch prior to their scheduled airing.
The first episode was released on DirecTV Now four hours before it was to air.
“Apparently our system was as excited as we are for Game of Thrones tonight and gave a few DIRECTV Now customers early access to the episode by mistake. When we became aware of the error, we immediately fixed it and we look forward to tuning in this evening,” a spokesperson for AT&T said in a statement at the time.
This time, the second episode was streaming much earlier than its slated release on Amazon Prime Video in Germany.
An Amazon spokesperson said in a statement Sunday, “We regret that for a short time Amazon customers in Germany were able to access episode 2 of season 8 of Game of Thrones. This was an error and has been rectified.”
Game of Thrones airs Sundays on HBO.

]]>Deadline reports that the Hannibal star is set for a multi-episode arc on the eighth and final season of Homeland. According to the outlet, Dancy will star as John Zabel, a savvy Washington consultant who joins the White House as a new foreign-policy advisor to the President and a formidable opponent to Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin).
The final season of Homeland will see Carrie Mathison (Danes) recovery after months of confinement in a Russian gulag. Her body is healing, but her memory remains fractured. Meanwhile, Saul has been dispatched to engage the Taliban in peace negotiations, and against medical advice, he asks Carrie to walk with him into the lion’s den — one last time.
The final season is currently shooting in Monaco and set is to premiere late in 2019.
