]]> Netflix’s popular crime drama Ozark has been officially renewed for season three. The streaming service giant announced last week that the series received an order for an additional ten episodes, which should premiere in 2019. Jason Bateman and Laura Linney will reprise their roles of Marty and Wendy Byrde, while Chris Mundy will serve as a showrunner again.

Bateman also confirmed that we will get more episodes of Ozark via his Twitter profile.

“I’m happy for me, but concerned for Marty – it’s official OZARK 3 is on its way,” wrote the 49-year-old actor.

Created by Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams, Ozark premiered in 2017 as a Netflix original. The series follows financial planner Marty who is forced to relocate his family from Chicago to the summer resort community Ozarks in order to set up a money laundering operation there and make amends to a Mexican drug cartel.

The first season of Ozark received positive reviews from the critics with Jason Bateman being especially praised for his performance. For his work in season one, Bateman received two Primetime Emmy Awards nominations in categories Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series. The second season, which premiered back in August, met with mixed reviews.
