]]>Hulu dropped the first teaser trailer for its new alien animated comedy from Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland and the Adult Swim writer Mike McMahan on Wednesday.
In Solar Opposites, a team of four aliens who have escaped their exploding home world, crash land into a move-in ready home in suburban America. They are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome.
The four aliens are voiced by series regulars Roiland, Thomas Middleditch, Mary Mack, and Sean Giambrone.
The series is executive produced by Roiland, McMahan and Josh Bycel. The series is produced by 20th Century Fox Television.
Solar Opposites premieres May 8.

]]>Multiple outlets report that HBO Max has greenlighted The Prince an animated series satirizing the British royals.
The series hails from Family Guy producer Gary Janetti who is also voice starring in the satire. The voice cast also includes Orlando Bloom, Condola Rashad, Lucy Punch, Tom Hollander, Alan Cumming, Frances De La Tour, and Iwan Rheon.
The series is based on Janetti’s Instagram account, which pokes full at the royals.
“I’m thrilled to be working at HBO Max and bringing them yet another series about a family ruthlessly fighting for the throne,” said Janetti.
“We’re so excited to bring the world Gary’s created on Instagram over to HBO Max, where our viewers can discover what his Instagram fans already know – that George can be hilarious, shocking, and surprisingly sweet,” said Sarah Aubrey, head of original content for HBO Max. “We can’t wait to see what Gary does with a bigger canvas to paint on than just a 1:1 square.”

The new CG-animated He-Man and the Masters of the Universe will feature new storylines, which will remain separate from Netflix’s She-Ra and the Princess of Power reboot.
From a tweet from NX, we learn that “A young prince discovers a mighty power, and an epic story begins once more! He-Man and the Masters of the Universe wage a new battle against Skeletor in a reimagined take on the classic franchise.”
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is not to be confused with the streamer’s previously announced anime series Masters of the Universe: Revelation from filmmaker Kevin Smith.

]]>Smith had some big news for the audience at Sunday’s annual Power-Con convention announcing that he is developing a new series titled Masters of the Universe: Revelation. According to Entertainment Weekly, the series will focus on the unresolved storylines of the classic ’80s era.
“I’m Eternia-ly grateful to Mattel TV and Netflix for entrusting me with not only the secrets of Grayskull, but also their entire Universe,” Smith said. “In Revelation, we pick up right where the classic era left off to tell an epic tale of what may be the final battle between He-Man and Skeletor! Brought to life with the most metal character designs Powerhouse Animation can contain in the frame, this is the Masters of the Universe story you always wanted to see as a kid!”
Smith will serve as showrunner and executive producer of the series.

]]>Netflix has ordered a brand new series starring The King himself. The series hails from co-creators Priscilla Presley and John Eddie.
The streaming giant announced the big news on the 42nd anniversary of Presley’s death.
In the forthcoming adult animated action-comedy series titled Agent King, “Elvis Presley trades in his white jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to help battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves — all while holding down his day job as the King Of Rock And Roll.”
“From the time Elvis was a young boy he always dreamed of being the superhero fighting crime and saving the world!” Priscilla stated. “Agent King lets him do just that. My co-creator John Eddie and I are so excited to be working with Netflix and Sony Animation on this amazing project and getting the chance to show the world an Elvis they haven’t seen before.”
Presley and Eddie are also credited as executive producers. Mike Arnold will serve as showrunner. Jerry Schilling is on board as a consultant, and designer John Varvatos will create Elvis’s looks for the show.
