]]> Netflix’ crime drama Mindhunter is returning for season two, after the first season received excellent reviews, including being Certified Fresh with 96% approval on Rotten Tomatoes. The information was confirmed via short video published on the Mindhunter official Twitter profile with caption: “We need to talk to more subjects.”

This is, unfortunately, everything Netflix revealed about the second season. We are, however, positive that the season two should premiere in 2018. Executive producer David Fincher recently talked with Billboard and discussed the soundtrack for season two saying “Next year we’re looking at the Atlanta child murders, so we’ll have a lot more African-American music…” and revealing the story and the release date of Mindhunter season two (we hope!). He also added that the season two will take place two years after season one.

Mindhunter is set in 1977 and revolves around FBI agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany), who alongside psychologist Wendy Carr (Anna Torv) use interviews with serial killers as a source of information that help them solving other cases. Interesting thing is that most of the characters on the show are based on actual people. Mindhunter was praised by the critics for “ambitiously cinematic visuals and a meticulous attention to character development”, being lauded as one of the best TV shows in 2017.
