]]>Multiple outlets confirm that the streaming giant has ordered another season of the animated anthology series.
The series, which hails Tim Miller and David Fincher, tapped Kung Fu Panda 2 and 3 director Jennifer Yuh Nelson as supervising director for its second season.
The renewal was announced Monday morning via social media.
The first season of Love, Death, Robots consisted of 18 episodes. The standalone animated short stories hailed from different writers, directors, and animation studios. Each episode was 6-17 minutes long and ranged in genre from sci-fi, to fantasy, horror, and comedy.
The episode count for the forthcoming volume has yet to be announced.
Back when Love, Death, Robots was announced, Miller told The Hollywood Reporter that it was his “dream project.”
“It combines my love of animation and amazing stories. Midnight movies, comics, books and magazines of fantastic fiction have inspired me for decades, but they were relegated to the fringe culture of geeks and nerds of which I was a part,” he said. “I’m so f***ing excited that the creative landscape has finally changed enough for adult-themed animation to become part of a larger cultural conversation.”
