This year’s Grand Final of the Eurovision competition drew its largest audience yet with 182 million viewers tuning in worldwide in over 40 countries to watch the beloved competition.

The Grand Final achieved a 36.7% audience share, which was one percentage point higher than last year’s contest. 

This year’s audience was also the competitions youngest yet — 45.3% of viewers were aged 15 to 24, which is 2 percentage points higher than 2018.

Winning country the Netherlands drew the country’s largest audience in five years with an overall average of 4.5 million viewers. Dutch singer Duncan Laurence took home the grand prize with his song “Arcade,” bringing the Netherland’s first win in 44 years.

For a ninth year in a row, Germany drew the biggest audience with 7.6 million viewers.

Israel, the competition’s host, received a 63.2% viewing share with 1.3 million viewers, making it the biggest audience for the contest in the country since 2003.
