Doom Patrol has been renewed for a second season and will be available to stream on two streaming platforms.

News of the series renewal was confirmed by writer and executive producer Jeremey Carver at San-Diego Comic-Con on Saturday evening.

The series is a reimagining of DC’s strangest group of outcast superheroes. Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Negative Man (Matt Bomer/Matthew Zuk), Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby), and Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero) led by the mysterious Dr. Niles Caulder (Timothy Dalton) suffered horrid accidents that gave them superhuman abilities, but also left them disfigured.

According to Variety, Doom Patrol has been the most well-received DC Universe series to date with season 1 scoring a 95% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It will be available to stream on two platforms — DC Universe as well as HBO Max, WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service.

The lineup for DC’s Titans TV show continues to impress, with the character of Jason Todd possibly being a part of it.

Over the past few weeks, DC has made some exciting announcements about Titans, and they will be adding almost the entire Doom Patrol roster to the world-class lineup.

This week, it looks like yet another DC character could be set to appear on the show. Rumors have it that Jason Todd, the second person to be Batman’s vigilante partner Robin, might appear on the show.

While DC and Warner Bros have not said anything official yet, it has been rumored that the seventh episode of the 13-episode series will be titled “Jason Todd.”

The character was killed off in the comics in 1988 before returning from the dead as Red Hood.
