According to multiple outlets, Chance who previously appeared on an episode of the children’s program back in 2019 is in negotiations to join Warner Bros’ live-action adaptation of Sesame Street.

The musical feature hails from Jonathan Krisel with Bo Burnham on board to contribute new original songs to the film. 

Sesame Street the movie follows the iconic characters from everyone’s favorite street after they are mysteriously expelled from their own neighborhood, forcing them to collaborate with history show host Sally Hawthorne (Anne Hathaway) to prove that Sesame Street actually exists. 

Chance would play an aide to the mayor in the children’s film.

The film is slated for a January 14, 2022, release.

Multiple outlets confirm that the multiple Grammy winner has been set to be the host of the forthcoming new iteration of the show, originally hosted by Ashton Kutcher. 

“Punk’d is one of MTV’s most iconic franchises,” said Chance. “I grew up watching this show and it’s surreal to be in the driver’s seat this time around on Quibi.”

The hidden-camera show featuring celebrity pranks show will be re-imagined for the forthcoming platform which is said to offer bite-size content in the form of episodes of 10 minutes or less. 

The original Punk’d ran from 2002 to 2007 on MTV. 

Quibi is set to launch on April 6.

Rhythm + Flow is Netflix’s first-ever music competition. The clip dropped during Cardi B’s set at the 2019 Made in America festival in Philadelphia Saturday night. 

The upcoming three-week event series will see the three rappers searching for the next big hip hop star. 

Per the streaming service, the music competition show “brings together industry legends across a multi-city search in hip hop epicenters Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and Chicago to find raw talent and help undiscovered artists pursue their come up.” 

“Creativity doesn’t have blueprints,” Chance the Rapper says in the teaser, with Cardi B promising, “It’s gonna be lit-y like a f***ing city.”

Rhythm + Flow will begin streaming October 9th, with 10 hour-long episodes dropping every Wednesday.
