]]>Starring in the titular role in the three-part series from Sherlock creators Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat is Danish actor Claes Bang.
The official description of the upcoming reboot of the original Bram Stoker novel reads: “In Transylvania in 1897, the blood drinking Count is drawing his plans against Victorian London. And be warned: the dead travel fast.”
“I am thrilled to be taking on the role of Dracula, especially when the script is in the hands of the incredible talents of Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss and the team responsible for Sherlock,” said Claes. “I’m so excited that I get to dig in to this iconic and super-interesting character. Yes he’s evil, but there’s also so much more to him, he’s charismatic, intelligent, witty and sexy. I realize that there’s a lot to live up to with all the amazing people that have played him over the years, but I feel so privileged to be taking on this incredible character.”
Lyndsey Marshal, Chanel Cresswell, Matthew Beard, Lydia West, Paul Brennen, Sarah Niles, Sofia Oxenham, John McCrea, Phil Dunster, and Millicent Wong round out the cast and join previously announced John Heffernan, Joanna Scanlan, Dolly Wells, Sacha Dhawan, Jonathan Aris, Morfydd Clark, and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett.

]]>Come October, fans of BBC One’s hit series Sherlock will have the chance to become immersed in the new live experience Sherlock: The Game is Now. The experience is a wholly immersive escape room which recreates famous scenes from the series and puts you in the role of detective.
The concept of the escape room is that Sherlock has suddenly disappeared and his allies have recruited you to help find him in order to bring down his enemies. The experience will include video messages from the Sherlock cast and will last for 90 minutes.
In order to win, you will have to solve puzzles and complete challenges in a group. The story underlying the escape room was penned by Sherlock writers Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss alongside producer Sue Vertue.
“Suddenly YOU are in Sherlock’s shoes,” Josh Ford teased. “We’re going to empower you to think like Sherlock and be the hero in your own real-life episode of the TV series.”
“We can’t wait to try out these brilliant, mind-bending puzzles and (try to) prove we know what we’re talking about,” the writers joked.
“Helping out Sherlock on an actual case is what we always dreamed of doing and now is our chance – even if he doesn’t want idiots as colleagues!”

Many fans felt that the production was unfairly snubbed during previous events. Creator Steven Knight collected the award and also revealed that he is hoping to create three more series of the production as well as a movie.
Knight said: “My ambition is to make it a story of a family between two wars, so I always wanted to end it with the first air raid siren in 1939.”
There has long been talk of a Peaky Blinders movie and Knight confirmed that he is keen on following up with this, saying: “A movie would be great,” he said. “But I don’t want to do it at the end, maybe between series.”
