]]>Multiple outlets report that a remake for Bambi is officially in the works from Captain Marvel and Chaos Walking writers.
Screenwriters Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Lindsey Beer will pen the screenplay for the remake of the classic 1942 animated feature. Depth of Field’s Chris and Paul Weitz and Andrew Miano are set to produce the new iteration.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the live-action remake will be similar to The Jungle Book and The Lion King, which were not live-action per se and will not include a living deer, rabbit, or skunk.
Bambi will join other animated classics that got the live-action remake including The Little Mermaid, Pinocchio, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Peter Pan, Lilo & Stitch and Hunchback of Notre Dame.
