]]>Only once previously had Peaky Blinders ended up winning a nomination, in 2015, and it ended up losing to Happy Valley.
Many fans felt that the production was unfairly snubbed during previous events. Creator Steven Knight collected the award and also revealed that he is hoping to create three more series of the production as well as a movie.
Knight said: “My ambition is to make it a story of a family between two wars, so I always wanted to end it with the first air raid siren in 1939.”
There has long been talk of a Peaky Blinders movie and Knight confirmed that he is keen on following up with this, saying: “A movie would be great,” he said. “But I don’t want to do it at the end, maybe between series.”
