The real-life husband and wife are set to play former lovers on the ABC comedy. According to multiple sources, Brody will star as Meester’s character’s ex. Brody will play Derek, a musician and ex of Angie’s, who she tracks down and confronts years later following Will’s (Taran Killam) advice. But let’s just say that it didn’t go well…

Meester gushed about Brody’s upcoming appearance on the show during Entertainment Tonight’s Single Parents visit on set Wednesday. 

“The last episode is going to have somebody that I know really well. He is going to be on the show, and it was kind of like, maybe best case scenario, maybe someday he could be on the show. And then now he’s gonna be on the show!” Meester teased. “His name is Adam Brody!”

Brody and Meester are best known for her their roles as Seth Cohen and Blaire Blair Waldorf on The O.C and Gossip Girl respectively.
