The 92nd Academy Awards will not have a host (again).

The Academy and organizers of the annual awards show took to Twitter to announce their decision that for the second year in a row, the industry’s biggest awards ceremony will go with a host.

“Together with the Academy we have decided there will be no traditional host again this year, repeating what worked for us last year: huge entertainment value, big musical numbers, big comedy, and star power,” ABC President Karey Burke announced at the 2020 Television Critics Association press tour on Wednesday. “Voting just closed last night and nominations will be announced on Monday.”

And what about years to come, you ask? “It will be [a year-to-year decision],” Burke added.

The 2020 Oscars air Sunday, February 9 on ABC.
